Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19, 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. to 12 hungry children that would be raised in the same household, figured out very early on how to conquer of the difficulties she faced with her incredibly imaginative imagination. Prior to learning how to write and read Dolly Parton was composing her own music. When she was eight, she bought her first electric guitar. She began singing on an Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. Gold Band Records is a tiny, independent label. She made a name for herself locally while still at high school, but wanted to perform on a larger stage. In the exact day that she graduated from high school, it was 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first single to reach the top of the charts at the top of Monument Records. Around this time, Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for the show he had syndicated to television. Parton took the offer in 1967 signed with RCA Records in 1968 and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. It was not until 1974 that she decided to leave Wagoner's program as the popularity of her individual records like Joshua Coat, Many Colors and Jolene had outstripped their collaborative efforts. Parton wrote "I I Will Never Forget You" to Wagoner shortly after they separated. The song hit number. The first time a single reached No.
