Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for more than 20 years. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington has worked as a journalist, TV personality writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than ten years. Her role also includes being the founder of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. Following her move into England from Greece when she was 16 and obtaining an MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. As the first non-English speaking student to graduate, she was elected President of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. Following the graduation ceremony, she was an influential Conservative syndicated journalist. In the years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political landscape. The celebrity she enjoyed enabled her to get a variety of stars to voice their views about current affairs, political and culture. Arianna became famous after she decided in 2003 to run as an Independent candidate in the California Recall Election in order to succeed former Governor Davis. Alongside that, she was also the leader of a Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient cars. She was named The Most Influential Women in Media according to Forbes in 2009, and was awarded the 12th spot on the list. In the same year Guardian named her on the 100 most influential media on their list. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was made president of the media company. The acquisition included a number of AOL properties of that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli the other, both of whom are management consultants and journalists. The way she lived her life was determined by her closeness to her mother as well as her relationship with her father despite being extremely close to the latter. In her early years she showed the leadership abilities and is a household name. At the age of 16, she moved to Britain for a degree and attended Girton College Cambridge. She joined the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college and was the third female to be elected president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned the degree of Master's in Economics. Following her graduation, she was employed as a columnist critic, and as a host on television. She also appeared in the show Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books taking editorial help from him.
