April Ross
April Ross has won more than one Olympic medal. Ross is among the few female players of beach volleyball who have done so. She is set to compete in Tokyo for her 3rd Olympic medal alongside Alix Klineman, who is a first-time Olympian. Ross's dream is to earn her first Olympic gold medal. There is a chance that this is her only opportunity, given that she is 39 years old. However, she's convinced that top prizes are within reach. If we play our best or even if we play well I feel like we'll be able to win that gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. So I'm going to take a little bit of luck too. Ross was born in 1982 and lived in Costa Mesa California with her mother and sister, first began playing athletics at Newport Harbor High school. The athletic pursuits she pursued was continued by Newport Harbor High School where she was a part of a number of activities. She competed in basketball and the track as well as her indoor volleyball achievements as a prep athlete. She clearly was the top at the sport of indoor volleyball. In her time at high school, she played middle blocker, outside setter and hitter at the tennis court, according to her bio at the college. In recognition of her work she was named the 1999 Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. Also, she won the 1999 Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Ross is currently playing alongside Klineman since the year 2017, but Ross's beach game had been established long before that. The fact is, she's been a winner of numerous major tournaments and one partner was an all-star volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 through 2013. Kessy and Ross were a formidable force in the international arena, taking home the 2009 World Championship together. They eventually won a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) and Misty Maytreanor clinched gold overtaking them. Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor as she left the team. They took home the bronze medal in beach volleyball during the Rio Olympics 2016. Ross began her college career with the USC Trojans in her high school days. It was a long time before Ross went to the sand and turned pro. Her career was a success through the NCAA tournament. When she was a freshman in 2000 the Trojans' performance earned her the Pac-10 and NCAA Young Player of the Year awards. The Trojans were also able to reach the Final Four with her help. Her sophomore year was the time she was devastated by a personal setback, but she was able to make it back as an All-American. Through the two years she played for the Trojans, she helped them to win two consecutive titles. In 2003-2004, Ross was named the top collegiate female volleyball player in the US by the Honda Sports Award. Ross was a USC international relations major, was a renowned volleyball player. Unfortunately, Ross mom Margie was not able to witness Ross's daughter reach the top levels of beach volleyball fame. As of 2001, when Ross was in her sophomore year studying at USC her mother died of breast cancer. She has kept her mother in her the heart. Also, Margie is an ongoing source of motivation for her at the beach and in the world of.
