Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Born in Winnipeg and born in Wellington Paquin made her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she was awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress aged 11 years old, and was the 2nd youngest recipient in Oscar history. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for Best Supporting Actress for acting as the bright and interesting child of Holly Hunter's lead part in The Piano. The role of Flora McGrath - the daughter of a Scottish muffle pianist in New Zealand at mid-19th Century was hers when she attended an audition for the role. In her twenties the actress had any experience in acting. When she moved to the United States, she became an adult. Paquin appeared as Jane Eyre's title character as an teen in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) as well as the main role for the character in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin played Frankie Addams as a child in the TV film adaptation Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin was also in the role of Queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 feature film Amistad. She was a teenager as teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) and portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
